Alia Bhatt gifts Rs 50 lakh to her driver and help
Actor Alia Bhatt has gifted her personal driver and her domestic help Rs 50 lakh each and even expects them to buy a new home for themselves.
Alia says that the driver, Sunil, and help, Anmol, have been with her since she began her Bollywood career in 2012, with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year. A report tells that she gave them the money before her birthday which was on 15th March. The report also mentioned that both her driver and help have already booked houses in Juhu Gully and Khar Danda in the city.
Alia recently has also purchased a home for herself in Juhu. The cost of the house is Rs 13 crore.
Alia said that the property is intended as an office space for her new production company. Asked if the house is a ‘love nest’ she said, “Nothing of the sort. It is a place I’ve bought as my office space. Yes, I’ve started my own production house. I’ve named it Eternal Sunshine Productions. Do you like it?”
She added, “Firstly, I bought this home where I live very close to my parent’s home so that I could be close to my parents and sister. I wouldn’t like that to change. Secondly, I built my home brick by brick all my own. Every piece of furniture in the house every knick knack is selected personally by me. This is where I live. This is my home. That won’t change.”
Alia will soon be seen in the Karan Johar film Kalank. The first song of Kalank released this Monday- featuring Alia which is Ghar More Pardesiya. The actor will share the screen with Ranbir in the movie Brahmastra which will be released in December directed by Ayan Mukerji.
‘Love you eternally’ says a note shared by Aishwarya Rai on her father’s death anniversary
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan shared an emotional post remembering her father, late Krishna Rai, on his death anniversary on Monday. She wrote, “Love you Eternally” while sharing the picture on Instagram.
Aishwarya Rai’s father died in March 2017. A former Army biologist, Krishna Rai was in the intensive care at the Lilavati hospital in Mumbai before he passed away following complications on March 18.
Even on Fathers’ Day last year, Aishwarya had also shared his photo. The photo had her mother Brinda and daughter Aaradhya Bachchan, and she herself holding the picture of her father.
After Aishwarya’s dad passed away, her father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan had posted a long tweet: “Death has but one end .. and words cannot define it .” He also wrote on his blog, “Death.. the inevitable end… That call you wait anxiously knowing that it will come, and come it does to end all other calls .. glimpses of reactions in the mind, of the lost one, of those that shall reflect on the lost one .. and suddenly then in the midst of sorrow and grief among the grieved and grieving. That walk to the ultimate destination and the reality… Embracing the tragedy, the discussions on its transport, its rituals, its formalities… The custom, the tradition, the visitors with the sadness and the embrace of consolation, the last rites, the carriage, the placement, the cremation… What to say what to put out where to put to… All laden with grief and departure.”
Akshay Kumar, the original Khiladi says that he has a lot more to offer as a performer
Akshay Kumar, the true Khiladi of Bollywood has proved himself in the cinema that he is worth the honour and respect that everyone gives to him. He says that he still has lots and lots to perform and yet he has many other things to do and learn. Being an action star, a comedy master and also doing patriotic movie, he has earned true respect from everyone but he is a performer and says he will perform till his last breath with same hardwork and passion.
Akshay still feels that he still has to experiment various genres of films. He wants to work in each and every type of genre and gain experience. “I have a long way to go. I still want to do a lot. I want to keep on working. I don’t want to stop at one point and have a particular image. I want to have different kind of images. I’m still discovering myself and have a lot time with myself to do so,” Akshay said at a press conference here. “I have ‘Housefull 4’ and then I am doing a horror-comedy and then there is ‘Sooryavanshi’.
I want to do different kind of films and I’m looking for opportunities,” he added. Akshay was in the capital along with actor Parineeti Chopra and director Anurag Singh to promote their upcoming release “Kesari”. The film, Kesari is based on Battle of Saragarhi, which was fought between the British Indian Army’s Sikh Regiment and Afghan tribesmen in 1897. Akshay said that doing a role in Kesari touched his heart and that he had an emotional experience. He said that he feels for his motherland and has a soft corner for the soldiers of the country.
“Making this film was an emotional experience. Especially, the last 15 minutes of the film were very emotional. But it’s been an important journey for me. I am sure it is going to be an emotional experience for the audience as well.” “Kesari”, produced by Dharma Productions, will hit the theatres on Thursday.
